GES Philosophy

While GES has different schools then it must have different philosophies according to the schools; some of them are Essentialism: This philosophy emphasizes the essential knowledge and skills that students need to acquire. It focuses on traditional subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, and science. The goal is to transmit a core set of knowledge to students, emphasizing discipline, order, and rigorous academic instruction. Progressivism: Progressivism emphasizes learning through experience and active engagement. It values the individuality of students and encourages them to explore their interests and participate in hands-on activities. Progressive educators believe in fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and social interaction. Constructivism: Constructivism posits that learning is an active process of constructing knowledge and meaning. Students are encouraged to build their understanding through interactions with their environment, social interactions, and personal experiences. This philosophy emphasizes student-centered learning, collaboration, and inquiry-based approaches.
